Cassidy Otto Stomp Out Cancer Foundation Therapy Dog Fund
Cassidy’s brain cancer diagnosis was accompanied by endless tests, procedures, treatments, setbacks, and often bad news. Despite multiple hospital admissions, in a city far from home, she found invaluable solace in her interactions with the St. Jude therapy dogs. For Cassidy, the dogs brought light to her eyes and a smile to her face on many days when nothing else could. The dogs, particularly a beautiful Golden Retriever named Puggle, often provided more peace and pain relief than any therapy or medication could (see Paws at Play: A Message from Puggle).
One of our missions for The Cassidy Otto Stomp Out Cancer Foundation is to fund a therapy dog in Cassidy’s name. A portion of our donation and event proceeds will be put toward our Cassidy Otto Stomp Out Cancer Therapy Dog Fund. We hope to honor Cassidy’s legacy by warming the hearts of other cancer patients in need with canine cuddles!
